How tall should my carport be?
We recommend making the legs of your carport at least 1 foot taller than the tallest vehicle you plan to own. Remember to include roll bars, top racks, and RV AC units in your height measurements.
Do you offer financing / rent to own / (RTO)?
Yes! We offer financing on our outdoor metal buildings, carports, sheds and other outdoor structures with approved credit and rent to own with no credit check.
How level does my land need to be?
We can install our outdoor metal structures and buildings on land that is within 4 to 6 inches of level. If your land is not level, we can cut the legs to level for an additional cost. Your other options would be to scrape it level, add in dirt, or pour concrete.
Can I change the height of my building after it is built?
It is not cost effective to change the height of a metal building or outdoor metal structure.
How long until I get my building?
Most of our outdoor buildings can be scheduled for install and delivery within 2 to 4 weeks after your date of purchase. Buildings 32 feet wide and over may take a little longer.
Do I need a permit for my outdoor building structure?
If you are inside city limits or have an hoa, please contact your local permit department or hoa for permit requirements.
Can I walk through the outdoor metal buildings at your show lot in canton?
Yes! Walk through, pay attention to the quality of doors, windows, hardware; touch the beams, feel the strength of our structures and the quality of our engineering. Don’t leave it to chance by ordering from a 1-800 sign on a fence! At Big Tex Buildings you can walk thru our mega lot of outdoor metal buildings, carports, barns, shops, and our amazing barndominium!
How are Big Tex’s buildings structurally better than most other dealers?
We often get asked about ‘aluminum’ carports. Rest assured, our carports are not weak aluminum or unprotected “red iron “, but all galvanized steel framing and sheet metal with the longest warranty in the business.
Can I choose the roof style for my new outdoor door building?
Yes! We offer 3 styles of roofs for most all of our sheds, carports, and outdoor buildings. We will be happy to not only explain the differences in styles, but let you see and feel the differences right here on our mega lot in Canton. We will listen to YOU and help you determine what fits your needs and budget best.
Can you help with insulation for my new storage building?
Yes, we can provide you with Spray Foam insulation as well as fiberglass insulation for your new building.
Do you provide lighting or electrical services for new metal buildings?
Yes, we can put together an electrical package for your lighting and electrical needs.
My backyard is not level. Do you provide site preparation including concrete work?
Yes, we can prepare the site for proper installation of your building including the concrete slab.
